Final Piece

I still have work to finish, but I'm pleased with how far this piece came. I started blending a variety of color and attempted to avoid basic tones. I realized how effective layering is and its purpose. I did my best to reflect the original triad.

Painting the Enlarged Image

I'm currently in the process of replicating the image we previously enlarged and posted on our blog. I've gradually been learning the impasto technique of applying thick layers of paint combined with several tones. One of my favorite parts of the lesson so far is mixing the acrillyic paints trying to achieve a specific color for the direction we want.

Addition & Subtraction

I refuse to post the original picture because of how inaccurate it was supposed to be portrayed. I started to realize the method of subtracting instead of adding.

Assignment: Progress Completion

This was my final product. I used the Jim Dine technique to add a coffee cup into the bottom right corner, but it unfortunately was cropped out.
